About Productive AV

From our founding in 2010 to our recent inclusion in the Inc 5000 list, we at Productive AV have had one primary mission: to positively impact the lives of those around us. The best way that we have found to accomplish this is to provide design, installation, service, and rental of technology systems that are simple to use, reliable in operation, and a complete solution for the task at hand. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, with offices across the nation, we aide organizations of all types and sizes meet their technological needs.


Juan BialetCEO
Juan Bialet has 20+ years of experience in the technology industry, and he is passionate about technology and providing the best solution for clients. He attended Liberty University and is a graduate of the James Madison University College of Business, with a focus on Management of Technology. Juan is a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) issued by AVIXA, the world’s leading technology and audio-video standards organization.

During his career, Juan has designed, engineered, and managed installations of all sizes for public and private sectors. His breadth of knowledge comes from the experience of a variety of installations including government offices, houses of worship, executive conference rooms, theatrical spaces, gymnasiums, and medical facilities.

Juan stays busy with his wife and three children and enjoys going on family camping trips and date nights with his wife.

David DiamondCTO
David Diamond is Productive AV’s Chief Technology Officer. He leads our engineering team and guides decisions on product selection and vetting. A mentor to others on the team, David has shared his passion for the AV industry with others for more than 20 years. He attended and led the AV engineering team at Liberty University, where he was able to design high-end systems from cinematic edit suites to stadiums. David served as an associate designer and audio designer for the Fortnite World Cup and has also toured with artists such as Drake, Beyonce, The Killers, Criss Angel, James Taylor, Backstreet Boys, and many more.

When not designing, David enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, exploring music, and building customized computers.

PJ VisserCPO
PJ Visser is Productive AV’s Chief Project Officer. PJ has worked in the entertainment industry for more than a decade and has managed projects for A-list artists internationally. Most recently, PJ managed Cybermotion’s US Rental division, which supplied automation to national and international tours such as Madonna, Ricky Martin, Paul McCartney, The Killers, Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails, and many others. His gifts for logistical planning in highly complex environments come from his passion for having everything in its right place.

PJ enjoys spending time with his family in Williamsburg, VA, and visiting his native Netherlands.

Ryan LewisEngineer
Ryan Lewis comes from a long history of engineering expertise. Ryan implements the sound design created in drawings and oversees the alignment and optimization of that system in the actual environment. He also provides follow-up services for existing PAV installs by re-tuning, troubleshooting, and repair recommendations of audio issues. He has toured extensively throughout the globe in various capacities with A-level clients such as: The Dave Matthews Band, Kenny Chesney, Amy Grant, Nine Inch Nails, Puff Daddy and corporate clients such as Beth Moore and Women of Faith.

Ryan enjoys spending time watching sci-fi movies with his wife; keeping his two cats, Tesla and Westinghouse, amused; downhill skiing in the winter months; and taking his Subaru out onto the snowy streets of Atlanta GA. In a parallel universe, Ryan wants to be a brew-master and start his own brewery.

Jason HarrisProject Manager
Jason serves as Project Manager and since joining the audio-visual industry in 2005, he has experienced just about every job there is. Jason assists with site surveys, helps engineers with site data and logistics, and leads the Service Department, whose members assist clients with supplying their hardware and software needs. With 8 years in the military and a proud Logistics NCO, he makes sure every detail is well documented, well communicated, and done correctly the first time.

Jason is a VCU alumni and a father of three tiny tornados. Jason’s best weekend is with his family, towing the camper somewhere with salt water, and only coming back home when he must!

Chan HowardAccount Manager
Chan Howard is Productive AV’s Account Manager, who supports the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Chan gives our clients the best solutions for their unique situation by providing step-by-step guidance from the initial conversation to project completion. Chan has built a reputation of excellent communication and service through his support of A-list clients in the live events industry over the past 6 years.

When Chan is not fielding customer questions, he enjoys riding his bike and spending time at the beach with his close friends and family.

Mark Nay Senior Account Manager
Mark Nay has worked in technology in both the corporate environment and the solutions provider sector over the past 30 years. This gives Mark unique insight having served in the roles of client and provider and helps him provide solutions that benefit both parties. Mark serves as a manager for our key accounts and a mentor to junior Account Managers. He is exceptional at understanding our clients’ needs, providing a path to meet their requirements, and facilitating the accurate delivery of our solutions.

Mark and his wife regularly enjoy biking, trail hiking, and river kayaking.
Mark is passionate about supporting several causes including: regular blood/platelet/plasma donations, Hike A Houlagan, Rails-to-Trails, Capital Region Land Conservancy, and Volunteer Officer of Election.

Mike GrubbInside Sales
Mike Grubb manages Productive AV’s Inside Sales needs and supports sales. He creates proposals and presentation materials and coordinates task lists, trainings, and meeting invitations. Mike leads the efforts in bidding large projects and has won several for the team. Mike enjoys empowerment through education, which has driven his 20-year career in sales and management.

When he isn’t working on proposals, Mike is usually working on guitars, banjoes or one of the other many instruments he has learned to play. Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and advocates for the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, to support finding a cure for his son’s condition.

Anita ThomasAccounting
Anita Thomas serves as Office Manager for Productive AV. Her major responsibilities include oversight of all accounting and purchasing activities. Anita has more than 20 years of experience in the audio-visual industry. Her motivation is her love of helping others, which she does every day.

When Anita is not working, she likes to relax by cross stitching and creating diamond paintings.

Justin TrohaughService/Engineer
Justin Trohaugh serves as an Engineer at Productive AV and is responsible for programming, testing, and commissioning each project. He is also a key member of our service team. Justin designs simple and intuitive user interfaces and efficient, organized programs which are fueled by his strong passion for technology and automation. His excellent customer service ethic comes from leading James Madison University’s IT service desk while earning his Computer Science degree there.

In his spare time, Justin enjoys spending time with friends and creating Electronic Dance Music.
